    In the KJV, Jude 7 says: Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

    I also hear the argument that this verse supports ECT because of the present tense of the word, “suffering”. Part of my response is that this verse also uses the present tense when describing the actions of the cities – “giving themselves over to fornication” and “going after strange flesh”.
